When you stay in shape during pregnancy the risk of complications is a lot smaller. That’s why it’s good to do some sort of exercise during your pregnancy. Drink more during exercise

Choose an exercise that feels right
You don’t have to do any heavy lifting just to stay in shape. You can choose an exercise that you feel comfortable with and can do at your own pace.  There are fitness programs that are focused on pregnancy but swimming, yoga, walking or cycling are fine too. Although some woman keep jogging while pregnant it’s not recommended to do any exercise that’s to heavy on the body. Just discuss with a trainer what exercises you can do.

During pregnancy you need more carbs so before you do your workout don’t forget to take a healthy snack. After all part of your energy intake will go to your baby. A snack helps to keep you energized during your workout.

Be alert to body signals
It’s great to stay in shape while pregnant but don’t overdo it. Your body will give you signals when you don’t feel well. From dizziness, headache, chest pain, stomach pain or bleeding.
