The modern woman is sophisticated, yet practical, she may not wear high heels all day as she rides the subway and she moves a lot, so the clothing must be very comfortable, elastic and easy to wear. But we do not miss out the extravagance.
What inspired you to start your brand?
It all happened very fast, like in a roller coaster of sensations. I have always loved fashion, since I was a little girl and spent my days in my mom’s workshop, as she is also a designer and read all her fashion magazines, played with the patterns and admired the beautiful colors and the way these fascinated clothes draped. I grew up and decided to do acting, so I majored in Drama, but this passion for fashion never faded, so one day speaking with my mom, we decided to create TEYXO, a brand exclusively for women who want playful, edgy, daring and out-of-the-box clothing. I guess I had a moment when I realized that a lot of the affordable fashion in the malls or stores are quite dull and we rarely find something fresh and extravagant. I have wanted to jazz up the streets and create a new line that embraces both elegance and comfort, modern and retro, theater and street.
What is the brand’s philosophy?
TEYXO is about and for the modern women. I have wanted something that will brighten up the streets, but also empower women. The modern woman is sophisticated, yet practical, she may not wear high heels all day as she rides the subway and she moves a lot, so the clothing must be very comfortable, elastic and easy to wear. But we do not miss out the extravagance. Loving theater and film, vintage and all that jazz, I love clothing that shines, that steals the spotlight and in the end makes the woman who wears it feel perfect and beautiful. TEYXO is about jazzing up the world and enliven it!
What has been your greatest achievement so far?
I always compete with myself and try to be better, to achieve more and have better results. In a world that is changing so fast, I think you always have to be alert and keep in touch with all the updates, keep the pace and the rhythm of trends, e-commerce platforms and everything that comes our way, so it is quite hard to say what is the greatest achievement as every stage is important, especially for small businesses and for a fashion brand that is very fresh and new. I try to always do better with every collection so I may say right now that Urban Muse – my new collection – is the greatest achievement so far, but I do hope that in Spring when my new collection comes out, I can say that the new pieces have become my greatest achievement so far. 🙂
